WELCOME TO KAPPA DELTA

At Kappa Delta we are able to house 25 women! There are 12 bedrooms that are doubles and 1 single where our Chapter President lives. There are 2 double bedrooms downstairs and the other 11 are upstairs. We also have a House Mom who lives downstairs in her own room! Our house is always filled with our sisters that do not live there but are always wanting to hangout. Many of our sisters gather to watch movies in our downstairs living room or if they want a quieter place they go to our upstairs TV room. Our sisters always invite friends over to do homework or group projects. We also have a "study" where sisters who need more of a quiet place to go and get a lot of school work accomplished. Kappa Delta hosts many events at our house each fall semester, specfically for our philanthropy Prevent Child Abuse America. The KD house hosts 3 different events for our philanthropy week, such as "Sweet Dreams PCAA" where we invite everyone in the community to come into our our and make toy bears for children. The second event is Kappa Delta Quesadilla where we serve unlimited quesadillas for $5 all night long. Our last event is our Shamrock event that is the biggest one of the whole week! Other events we hold is with our other philanthropy, Girl Scouts of America, like "Neewollah"(Halloween backwards) and International Girls Day. Through these Girl Scout events we have the privilege to work hand in hand with the Girl Scouts and different troops hoping to inspire and instill confidence in them at such a young age. In the Spring semester we hold 2 more events with the Girl Scouts called "Friends Don't Bully" and Campus tours. Both events are also geared towards instilling confidence in the girls, as well as promoting kind friendships with "Friend Don't Bully" and giving the Girl Scouts a tour of UNT explaining that they are smart and powerful girls that can one day attend college and achieve anything their heart desires with Campus Tours! Over the years Kappa Delta has hosted many events in our house and on campus which always brings us back to our national motto "Building Confidence.Inspiring Action!"
