March Newsletter

Updated: Apr 2, 2020

Hello Sisters,

We hope you had an excellent February full of love laughter, and our FIRST two philanthropy weeks of the semester! Congratulations to Alpha Phi on Go Red Week and Pi Beta Phi for Wing Ching, and thank you to all of the sisters we had come out to support them.

Spring Break came and went almost too quickly, and with everything that has been happening with COVID-19 I know many of our hearts are broken. Being away from our sisters, cancelling events that so many people put so much work into, and just really having to put our lives on hold can be very scary. In this time the health and safety of our sisters is first priority and though our spirits may be down, hopefully in due time this situation will calm down and we can be reunited as a Panhellenic community yet again.

Upcoming Events

  • At least for the next week events are on hold, and we will keep you all updated as we receive direction from The University and the Center for Fraternity and Sorority Life

Sister Sorority Spotlight

Pi Beta Phi

Renee Sepesi

Renee is a senior and she has served as the Policy and Standards Board Chair, Philanthropy Chair, Rho Gamma, and is currently Pi Phi's Director of Leadership. Renee was recently offered a Cast Member Position in Children’s Activities at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Renee was chosen out of 25,000 applicants to help make magic in Fall 2020 through this incredible position. She is elated for this enchanting adventure, and is forever grateful to have found sisters in Pi Phi who value Personal and Intellectual Growth and have encouraged Renee to grow beyond her imagination which led her to make magic come alive for kids in the happiest place on Earth.

Alpha Phi

Tori Brown, Bailey Bender, Shaina Grissell

These four ladies from Alpha Phi have been working tirelessly on the North Texas Dancers and North Texas Cheer teams in preparation for Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL. Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic unfortunately these ladies and their teams compromised of members from Pi Beta Phi, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Chi Omega, Kappa Delta and Alpha Delta Pi will no longer be able to compete in Daytona as the competition was cancelled. We wanted to extend a hand on behalf of the Panhellenic Community to these Alpha Phi women and all of our Pan sisters who were looking forward to competing this season.

I hope all of you can stay safe and enjoy this time with your families.

xoxo Pan Girl
